The Longway EP Credits

Andy Waldeck

Songwriting, Production, Lead Vocals, Bass, Engineering, Mixing

Andy Waldeck was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a strong affection for music. He started playing bass at age ten, stole his parents records, and started writing songs. After attending Berklee College of Music where he studied bass and composition, he moved to Washington DC and formed the seminal funk rock band, Egypt. After a million miles in a van and several independent label CD releases, Andy picked up the guitar and formed Earth To Andy who quickly signed with Warner Brothers boutique label, Giant Records. The release of their critically acclaimed CD "Chronicle Kings" saw several of Andy's songs featured on modern rock radio and in the highly rated network TV shows, Charmed and Beverly Hills 90210. He has shared the stage with countless acts such as Stone Temple Pilots, Live, Fuel, Stained, Everclear and 3 Doors Down, to name a few.

Joe Lawlor

Songwriting, Production, Guitars

Joe was born into a creative family from the Washington DC area. He began playing guitar at age 10 and instantly knew he had found his calling. Joe’s progress was unbridled and after high school, he attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music. As a founding member of several progressive funk and rock bands, including the Washington DC based band Egypt, Joe’s notoriety grew as exponentially as his guitar playing bloomed. He quickly became a sought after session guitarist and has added his signature style to countless recordings. Joe’s influences range from guitar heros like Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck, to delta slide blues and the creole/second line stomp of New Orleans. For the past 14 years Joe has traveled the globe with the Dave Matthews band as part of their audio crew specifically working as their live recording engineer and archivist.

Jai Robinson

Drums, Vocals

Jai Robinson started playing drums with the Gospel Group The Crawford Bros at age 8. Sharing the stage with many Gospel greats as The Mighty Clouds of Joy and Tommy Ellison & The Singing Stars. Had the honor of playing drums for The 5 Blind Boys of Mississippi in 1994. Was the drummer in the ShenanArts Production of Gods Trombones. 2004 was offered to sing in Paris France for The Gospel Music Workshop Exchange. Organized by the great Larry Vickers (Dancer for Shirley MacLaine and dancer in The Wiz starring Michael Jackson & Diana Ross)
A 2006 meeting with Bryant Clement turned into the 2007 joining of local greats First Offense. Playing keyboards and singing background vocals. 2008 was asked to become lead singer besides playing keys.
2009 had a brief run with my own band Evolution, later joining the band SP511 with Mr Bowflex Michael Polinko and Cheryl Sule.
2011 teamed back up with a couple of musicians and from that came the band SOCO which spawned many great events with openings for country greats The Kentucky Headhunters and Little Texas. SOCO went full throttle until 2015 and after that 3 of us formed The Housecatz until 2017.
Plans were in place to move to Nashville to pursue music more when sickness struck the family and the decision to stay here in Virginia was made.
2020 during the Pandemic was asked to join local great INFULL Band. In 2021 the bass player had prior commitments which brought in Andy Waldeck to play in October of that year. The musical connection started that night and from that I met the great Joe Lawlor and we started making music and I couldn’t be more excited to see where the next chapter of this musical journey takes us…..Blessings to all
